Cricket season is fast approaching and theres a few changes around the club and the association. Our coach for the last 2 years Stephan Grobler isn’t returning from New Zealand as he has got a full time job that doesn’t allow him to travel for cricket, so we wish him all the best with his future endeavours and ate currently on the look out for a club coach.
The big change in the association is with the BJCA who on Tuesday night moved motion to have u16’s play on a Friday night and u13’s to play on a Saturday morning which was carried after a discussion and subsequent vote.
So it will be interesting to see how this works out with more details to come on start times ect.

The other big thing for the Meerlieu community is that the Meerlieu Hall is in the running for $100000 for new toilet/shower facilities and a new storage room. However the grant works on a voting system. So we ask can all members of the club please vote and get family and friends to vote as well for the hall to have the best possible chance of winning. Im sure we would all agree that the 1970s toilets are very due for a refurb.
Attached is the how to vote flyer which is also found on the facebook page

News on when training, practice matches aswell as a working bee before the season starts will be posted soon
