🏏 History Made at Meerlieu!
Last night marked a huge milestone — our first-ever women's side took to the field with 13 players on a very windy evening.
Meerlieu vs Paynesville


Paynesville batted first, scoring 6/77 off 16 overs.
Wickets were shared, with Lucy Simpson taking standout figures of 2/5 off 3 overs.
A great moment saw Olive Evans take her first catch in gully — and she was just as surprised as we were!


Meerlieu went into bat with openers Adelle O'Doherty and Kelsey East who did well early.
At 2/19 off 5, Captain Beckie Stevens stepped in and started hitting hard, using the wind to her advantage.
She retired on 30 with 3 overs to go, and Alanah Nation scored the winning runs with batters rotated to finish off the overs and give a few more a go.
Meerlieu finished 5/82 off 16
