🏏 Meerlieu Cricket Club AGM – Season 2026/27 🏏

Last night we held our AGM and would like to welcome the committee for the 2026/27 season.

Liquor Licensee – James Patterson
Social Coordinator – Craig Fletcher

Ordinary Members – Colin Lane, Mark Carley, Danielle Johnson, James Blandford and Anthony Simpson.

A big thank you to everyone who has put their hand up to help guide the club through another season. Community clubs only thrive because of volunteers willing to contribute their time and effort, and we appreciate everyone who has stepped into a role.

Attention now turns to the upcoming season, and we are actively recruiting players to help field sides in A, B, C, Ladies, Under 16s, two Under 13 teams and Junior Blasters. If you know anyone keen to play cricket this season, please encourage them to get in contact with the club. Whether you're returning to the game, new to the area or picking up a bat for the first time, we'd love to hear from you.

We're also looking for volunteers to assist with our next wood raffle, which will be held from 23–25 July at Woolworths Bairnsdale.
This is a HUGE fundraiser for the club and some of our regular volunteers are unavailable, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Shifts are available from 9am–1pm, 1pm–5pm and 5pm–7pm. If you can lend a hand, please contact Leah Simpson on 0417 554 009 to put your name down.

With the club entering its 90th year, we're looking forward to celebrating a proud history while continuing to build a strong future both on and off the field.
